Looks, Talent and Drive, The Remarkable and Talented Manuel SoroA Story by starpowerActor Manuel Soro“I’ve
always wanted to be an actor.” Manuel Soro said that in an interview. Haven’t
we all said that at one time or another either to ourselves or to someone who
was close to us? We all want to be actors because it looks like of fun! You get
to hang out with other actors and pretend to be someone else all day and then
you go to sleep and get up the next day and do it all over again.
The
only problem is that most of us don’t follow our dreams, so most of us never
become actors. But that’s okay because we get to watch people like Manuel Soro,
the very talented Italian thespian act and we can live vicariously through him
and the characters he plays. Really, being an audience member is part of the
process, an important part of the process. Without us, the audience, Manuel
Soro might go back to being one of the best bartenders in England. He would
still be acting, only his audience would be his customers. Well, enough of that
kind of talk. Manuel is doing very well in Los Angeles and his resumé is full
of plays, TV shows, films, commercials and voice over projects that have been
keeping him very busy the last few years.
After
he grew up in Italy he moved to London and then he took a year off to travel
the world. Then Manuel was offered the lead role in a film directed by a New Zealand film director who
‘discovered’ Manuel and cast him in the film. Some people have all the luck
"and the talent. That experience told him all he wanted to know about what
his life’s career would be and it wasn’t bartending. He immersed himself in
acting school " the legendary Stella Adler Academy of Acting in Los
Angeles and then started getting acting jobs and now he is an established actor
with a body of work.
Some
of his films are Spanish Diamonds, Trick, Brasoul Brothers, Veiled Avenger,
Repeat, Funny Man and Meeting Mr. Abaddon, among others. He is also featured in
the Adult Swim television show Black Jesus. By the way, Manuel actually was
voted the Best Bartender in England when he lived and worked in London. © 2018 starpower |
