One Of Canada's Most Exciting New Talents -Singer and Songwriter Brooke Turner

Brooke Turner sets an example of writing heartfelt songs that are destined to be hits!

What’s a nice Canadian girl like Brooke Turner doing in the tough and highly competitive Hollywood music scene? That’s a good question and the answer is simple: writing great songs and creating hits out of them. Her song Wish I Could Forget You hit number one on the King of the Spins charts the first week of its release and has been number 4 on the Music Week commercial pop and Upfront Club charts for two weeks and it’s poised to climb even higher.

 

Brooke got sucked into the music world when she was only seven years old. Her music teacher singled her out from the other kids in her singing class and told her and her parents that she was gifted in the vocal department. Her parents took the hint, hired a private voice coach and planned on being the proud parents of a successful Julliard student who went on to fame and fortune as a professional opera singer.

 

Those dreams were dashed, however, when Brooke discovered that she not only loved pop music, but was able to write very solid songs in this genre as well, which is a very difficult thing to do. She realized that although she was certainly drawn to the idea of going to Julliard and studying with the best of the best, she was willing to give it all up to follow her passion for songwriting and hanging with the pop crowd. Once she moved away from the dream of singing at the New York Met, everything was good. The songs started pouring out of her mind onto paper and then our into the world of sound, rhythm, and beautiful words that held meaning to her and to all that heard them

 

When Brooke wrote Wish I Could Forget You she wanted to express through the music and the lyrics every negative thing that she had experienced in a relationship and how she truly wanted to be able to forget that other person. With the help of her producer, Patrizio Moi, they definitely succeeded in displaying this story and the emotion felt with it. Mr. Moi is a very recognized and firmly established music producer who has worked not only with Brooke, but also Justin Bieber, Meghan Trainer, Gallant and scores of other outstanding recording artists. Brooke and her team are busy promoting Wish I Could Forget You and they just launched the campaign in the UK.
