The Enchanting World Of Actress Bernice BreckonA Story by starpowerFrom New Zealand To Hollywood, Bernice BreckonCan you imagine standing near James Cameron on the set of
his record-breaking film Avatar? That
could have been a life changer for some people because it’s just not that often
that you get a chance to witness a genius in action, doing something that they
love and that millions of other people also love to look at. Bernice Breckon
had that opportunity when she was on the set of Avatar, and it did influence her future " she decided to become an
actress. Standing in the middle of all that creativity also made Bernice see
the necessity of training and studying acting to amass all the tools she would
need to be a highly competent and competitive professional thespian, which is
what she is today. She always loved the idea of acting while she was growing up
in New Zealand, but it wasn’t until she became older that she took acting
lessons. She worked in commercials and stage plays and attended the best acting
schools and master classes in New Zealand and then in Sydney, Australia, before
coming to Los Angeles to study at the Michelle Danner acting Studio. Since then, she has built up quite a resumé and has acted in
short films, theatre, commercials and feature-length motion pictures. Besides
being in front of an audience and on film, Bernice also works very well behind
the scenes. She is a talented director, production manager and producer. She
can remember her lines, hit her mark, make a budget and direct the other
actors, all while looking great and remaining perfectly cool while under
pressure. Bernice, born Maori, is a presence to contend with just like
another famous Maori actor who is considered by many to be one of the best
actors in the world: Cliff Curtis. He played the very scary Los Angeles gang
member who was going to kill Ethan Hawke’s character in the movie Training Day. Bernice has also received
excellent reviews for her performances in the movies, Find Your Voice, Fearless Games and Avatar. She produced several noteworthy short films through her
company iFlow Productions, Fashion
Statement, Deathly Acquisitions and For
The Love of Joseph, which she also directed. Bernice currently has some
interesting projects in development as producer and also in the roles of
director and actress, and we look forward to seeing them. © 2017 starpower |
