'Adventures on 12 Paws'- a short film by Gerald Rascionato

'Adventures of 12 Paws' is a short film about 3 different dogs that become strays after a series of events!

Just saw the trailer to Gerald Rascionato’s feature-film Cage Dive. Great trailer �" it pulled me right in and now I have to see the movie when it comes out this year. Three people go missing when they go out on a boat with other divers to “enjoy” a day in a in the water in a cage, surrounded by sharks �" real live hungry sharks. Those three divers go missing when a monster wave hits the boat and they are left to their own devices in the middle of the ocean accompanied only by their immediate human companions and the big man-eating fish who are rather curious about how these three might taste for lunch.

 

Gerald Rascionato is a true filmmaker- he produced, directed, wrote, worked the camera and edited this film, and he is also a true producer like Spielberg, Coppola and others who have gone out and followed their dreams and succeeded in the biggest possible way. Cage Dive is getting great reviews and we think it’s going to be a big moneymaker.

 

Gerald has some pretty interesting short films under his belt also. Adventures on 12 Paws is a story about Sam, Baxter and Hunter who are three very different dogs that become strays after a string of tragic events. An encounter with the local dog pound brings them together by chance and an epic adventure lay ahead for them when they decide to join forces, form a pack and escape in the wild to be free.

 

According to Gerald, Adventures on 12 Paws was the most ambitious short film that he has ever made. Working with animals is as difficult as people say it is, he told us. However, he did build a strong relationship which each dog so they could listen to him. Sam (the youngest and most timid of the three dogs) is a domesticated pet who has only ever known the inside of a house. Baxter is a rough dog that has been on the streets a long time and knows how they work. Hunter is an abused dog who finally gets a chance to escape from his evil owner and becomes the heroic dog that saves Sam and Baxter from being taken away to the pound. It’s emotional and heartfelt film.   Gerald is obviously passionate about movies and story telling and we can’t wait to see what he does next.
