Japan's Own, Obie Sho

Obie Sho, the Japanese actor, is obviously very serious about his acting career. You can always tell when actors take their profession seriously if they have a long resumé. And Obie Sho has a very long resumé, indeed. He has been in countless films, stage plays and commercials so we know that Mr.Sho is a serious professional because he works non-stop and is always trying to improve the enormous amount of talent that he already has.

 

Obie was born in Japan and raised on a beautiful small island named Yakushima, which is a World Heritage Site. Obie got involved in acting during high school and hasn’t stopped moving forward since then. He has worked in Hollywood and Las Vegas performing in numerous films and stage shows and if you haven’t had the opportunity to catch any of his performances in films then you may have seen him on America’s Got Talent 2016 when he was part of Team Hara. We saw that particular show and were pretty impressed with Hiroki Hara’s illusionist act. It was the best magic act we ever saw and Obie was one of Hara’s team members who assisted the master magician in his feats of illusion.

 

Obie has continued to work with Hara’s team and comes back to Hollywood when he is cast in a film or commercial. Some of the commercials he has been in during his short but very full acting career have been, Braun Razor, World War Robot, E Sports World News and Henderson Hospital. He’s also been in several music videos such as Norwegian Black Metal by Superhumanoid and in one of Laura Bell Bundy’s videos.

 

Some of the stage productions he’s been in, just to name a few are, Angel Academy, The Teacher of Nature Yakushima, All in The Timing, Zombies Rule and Waiting For Lefty. Obie’s resumé has too many films on it to talk about all of them here, so we’ll just name a few: The Secret of Sunflower, Birthday Boy, A New House, One Day, B-Roll, Noboru, Pathos, Vessels, Shock, Waste Land and Bloody Hands.

 

In the short time that Obie has been in the United States he has established himself as a very professional actor who is willing to play any role he is cast in. His talent is extraordinary and he has plenty of projects coming up in 2017. And we can’t wait to see more of him.
