From The Movie 'Zus & Zo' Actress Antje Boermans

All the way from the Netherlands, Antje Boermans

Antje Boermans  is an actress from the Netherlands. She’s been acting since she was only three-years old and while she was still a kid, was featured in four movies and a TV show, all of which became award-winning productions that earned international praise and acclaim. She also acted in the motion picture Zus & Zo, which was nominated for an Oscar as Best Foreign Language Film.

 

Apparently, Antje has a lot of talent and an equal amount of drive to be successful. Those qualities, plus the love of acting has propelled her to excellence in everything she’s done. She has been in tons of feature-length films, including Zus & Zo, such as, De Uitverkorene, a TV movie, Hidden Flaws, Accused, The Domino Effect and Fissa, to name but a few. She also appeared in the highly lauded Dutch TV series Noord Zuid, which is about a female detective in Amsterdam, whose background as a psychologist helps her solve some very interesting cases.

 

As she stays continually busy with her career Antje also stays busy perfecting and honing her craft. When she’s not on a movie set hitting her mark she is hitting her mark at an acting class with other professionals. She feels that it is imperative to never stop learning about acting and all that it entails. She also feels that each role she has played is her favorite part. She immerses herself in every character she takes on and she enjoys the experience of “becoming” different personas.

 

Even though there is no doubt that Antje loves acting, she also loves the process. One part of the process that really interests her, along with actually going out and doing it, that is, acting, is gaining knowledge of acting, her craft. She has found that learning about acting and having a light go on in her head when she grasps something is also an achievement and a very exciting moment. Antje has a pretty busy schedule for 2017 and we can’t wait to what she does next.
