Here is what this brilliant performer had to share with the readers: Please
introduce yourself to the readers and how and when did you first get
into performing? I was born in the Soviet Union, I am Greek by blood,
Russian by soul, Cosmopolitan by mind and spiritually, a Buddhist. I first got
into performing during school, when I participated in school theatre dramas.
Then I took art classes in high school and finally got my first role of a gang
member in the movie ‘Volki’ (Wolves) made by the Uzbekfilm studio in
1990. What
inspired you to get into the entertainment industry? Since childhood, I was very good at performing with lyrics,
sketches and being a key character in kindergarten, school and high school
shows. It was always my dream to be an artist, since graduation. My priority was
education, for my own business affairs and my family. Acting and modeling was
an occasional hobby until I took it to the next level and achieved the type of
success I could only dream of. What
kind of training have you had, if any? Initially, I had intensive training as an actor with the
Uzbekfilm studio, than I developed my skills with the Twins Theatre and Moscow
Fashion house. I also attended the John Marengo acting school in Bangkok. What
has been your favorite role to play so far? My favorite role so far was playing the role of King
Priam in “Troy 2” that was filmed in Thailand this year. What
has been one of the most exciting achievements of your career so far? My participation in the latest European action movie project
‘Out for Vengeance” (a Salar Zarza film) where I combined my acting skills with
stage combat performance. What
projects do you have coming up? I was recently chosen for the main role in the TV series ‘Chasers’,
filmed the pilot TV series ‘Playing Dirty’, which is expected to continue
in 2017, which I am pretty excited about. Who
would you most like to work with? I am really proud to have had the opportunity to work
alongside such a great actor and performer like Michel Qissi in ‘Out for
Vengeance’ and I was delighted to work with a great film director Tekin
Girgin in ‘Troy 2’. What
are your plans for the future? I look forward to continued international success and I look
forward to exploring the American film industry and of course, winning an Oscar. What
is your advice to aspiring performers? It is never too late to start following your dreams! If
it is really yours, the magic will be created straight away. It will never be
the perfect time, you just have to wait for the right time and allow you to be
yourself. Just take the first step and keep walking ahead.
