"Be Brave and Go For It", Actress Dive Assad shares some encouraging words for fellow artists

The talented and beautiful Dive Assad

“Be brave and go for it” is the sage advice for aspiring actors from established thespian Dive Assad. She also thinks they should “Embrace the uncertainty and enjoy the process.” We think it’s pretty good advice for anyone working in any field but it seems to be a perfect fit for those attempting to get their foot in the door of the movie industry. Dive knows well that it takes a great deal of hard work and perseverance if you want to become established (like she is) in a very competitive business where one must get used to being rejected on a regular basis.

Dive is from Vera Cruz, Mexico and as far as she can remember, she has loved movies and plays and the whole idea of acting. She did a lot of acting in Mexico but when she became old enough she decided to move to Los Angeles to attend the famous Stella Adler Academy of Acting. She put in two years at the intensive acting conservatory there and added many tools to her acting toolbox. Since then she has become a fixture in Hollywood and has acted in more things than she can remember.

However, some of the projects that are on the surface of her great acting mind are films like, the feature-length movie Perception of Art, While I Walk, Margaret, Surprise, Z Nation (the series), Don’t Let Me Go, and At Your Discretion. We saw several of these films and can understand why Dive is in high demand in tinsel town �" she is a consummate actress who takes each role seriously and steeps herself into each and every character she plays.

She was very effective in Surprise and At Your Discretion. Both short films showcased Dive’s talent and skill at becoming totally different characters. In Surprise she played a beautiful and very sexy wife who may or may not be cheating on her husband. In the film At Your Discretion, Dive plays an angry stepmother who is so powerful that she almost made me run away from home.

Dive is a pleasure to watch and we’ve been following her exciting career over the last few years. She seems to always take on roles that force her to stretch her imagination and that expand her artistry. We can’t wait to see what part she will play next.
