One of the most creatively talented people around, Paul Desmarre

Looking through some of the photos of Paul Desmarre’s work for Exclusive Artists, the management agency that handles top of the line hair designers, makeup artists, grooming experts and stylists, I was blown away. First of all, the photography was spot on and the models were as haute as they can get and then of course I looked closely at the styling and the hair, which Paul is quite famous for. He’s an artist, no doubt, and he’s also a very lucky Frenchman to be able to have a “hands on” job with all these extremely beautiful women. Beautiful may be a classic understatement here. Perhaps it would be more precise to say…utterly desirable. Okay, whatever word used to describe those living, breathing walking masterpieces that Paul Desmarre helped to make even more desirable, is irrelevant. The important thing in those modeling images is the first impression of the viewer.

 

My first impression was the same as my second, fourth and fifth viewing of those art pieces �" I was amazed at the stand alone beauty that each photo produced and I was also amazed at the casual look of the models, even though I realized that they probably spent several hours in a chair with Paul’s magical hands creating something out of nothing. That’s not to say that the models are nothing �" I’m not saying that at all. He simply created a “look” that wasn’t there to begin with �" something from nothing.

 

Each of the images was special. Yes, the models’ femininity was present all the way through the portfolio and that’s to Pauls’ credit; he enhanced their womanhood with his stylistic vision. He simply has a way of bringing out something that’s deep inside these women and letting it shine in the most complimentary way with the rest of their physical and even spiritual attributes, if that’s even possible. He must see the model holistically, as a whole person with a soul and life and future and a past and a present. His vision of their hair, etc., only expands what he initially sees in them. Paul is the go to guy for colors and balayages(highlights), next to styling. He is also the person you want to go to if you are an actress or entertainer who may need hair color/cut/ treatments.

 

So, when we use the word magic when talking about Paul’s skills, perhaps we mean that there is a sixth or even seventh sense about him and the way he works. When we say that he worked his magic on her, we might really mean that this guy sees something that we didn’t notice and might not ever see in a woman. And that in itself is magical because he does indeed transform these already lovely women into beings that even they didn’t know they had inside themselves. Or…Maybe Paul is just an extraordinary artistic hair stylist with an keen eye for beauty. You be the judge.
