French actor and multi talented performer Charles CamposA Story by starpower'Midnite Cabby' actor Charles CamposGrowing up in the French Alps sounds so romantic and even adventurous. Maybe that’s what inspired Charles Campos to get into acting. I’m understating the whole thing here…he not only got into acting but he immersed himself in the world of acting and the entertainment industry. Since the film business is one of the only industries that encourages its participants to be romantic and adventurous " all the time, perhaps it’s not so surprising that Mr. Campos has done so much film work in such a short amount of time. Right out of college in France Charles made the life-changing decision to move to Los Angeles and get into the movie business. He attended UCLA then started working almost immediately. His English is beautiful, by the way, just like his French and German. He acted in plenty of commercials for international brand names such as, Nintendo, MTV, Samsung and Coke. He also just did a Corona commercial that is being shown in Mexico. Charles has done many short films, one of which, Soliloquy, was invited to numerous film festivals and took the Best Short Film prize home at the Nice International Film Festival. And speaking of international renown, Charles starred in a Japanese music video for superstar Ayumi Hamasaki in 2014, which causes a great ripple on the East side of the Pacific rim. Apparently, rumors spread that Charles and Ayumi were dating because she recently got engaged to UCLA graduate. Charles laughs when he thinks about this rumor. As fun as the video was, he says, the rumor is not true, it was another UCLA grad who Ayumi was engaged with. So is the life of a music video star. Movies, however, are also a big love of Charles’, and he’s been in quite a few of them so far. One film that Charles was in, a comedy, Midnite Cabby, got stellar reviews and can be seen on Amazon Prime. The Bride, a horror film and independent feature, has been sold all over the world and can also be seen online. Charles has plenty of irons in the fire right now and he is set to play a character in the upcoming feature-length production of The Slik Road. It is in pre-production and its storyline reveals the black market side of the Internet and takes place in Tokyo, Berlin and Paris. © 2016 starpower |
