ACTOR AIDAN CREEGAN’S WORK FALLS NOTHING SHORT OF IMPRESSIVE

Why would anyone want to become an actor? Well perhaps we could ask the hundreds of tens of thousands of actors around the world that question and we could see if there is a consensus. Okay, I’ll be right back.

 

Hi. Just back. I asked everybody and there is no consensus, you’re on your own.

Well, all right then. While you were gone I looked at Aidan Creegan’s show reel and I may have stumbled upon an answer of some sort. It seems that Aidan is a professional actor who went through some highly intensive training to become one. So, if he put himself through all that work just to make a living pretending to be someone else on the stage or on the movie set, there must be something to all this.

 

After I saw his reel, samples of his acting, I came to realize that pretending to be someone else might just be about the most fun anyone can have. And guess what…professional actors get paid for doing that! When I watched Aidan acting out several roles, I also realized that he was quite good at it. He was proficient at his profession and it came through very clearly that he would be around as an actor for a very long time.

 

Aidan is from Holland, although his background is Irish and Indonesian. He became interested in acting and the art of story telling when he was a teenager. A movie he saw affected him very strongly emotionally and he was inspired from then on. Pursuing his art and craft, Aidan studied the Le Coq Acting technique in Holland and then went to the UK to study the Stanislavski Method at East 15 Acting School. Obviously, after seeing his reel, Aidan passed all of his classes with honors. He evokes emotions in the audience seemingly very easy because you can’t see any technique, only the true feelings of his character. That is what all the professional actors in the United States and the UK strive for, that invisibility of the self. They only want the character to come out and be seen, which is what Aidan has achieved.

 

Aidan has been in plenty of stage plays and he has also been in movies. He’s involved right now in a U.S/UK production about a dad who is trying to put on a WWE (wrestling) style show for his son. Aidan is also doing comedy, which he is very serious about.
