Adrian Annis believes that the actor has to give life to the written character so he is more than willing to go the distance and ‘become’ that character.

Acting is not only fun and challenging, but is also a way of life for a select group of artists. One of those people is Adrian Annis. He’s been in many award-winning feature films, such as, “Run Away With Me” and “Eva’s Diamond,” and he was in several of the Harry Potter films as well, along with numerous other features, award-winning short films, commercials and music videos.

His acting has been continually reviewed in positive terms simply because his acting skills always shine and can’t help but stand out in anything he does. Directors love working with him because he seems to understand what’s expected of him almost immediately and he never hesitates to bring something extra to the table �" an intuitive knowledge of his character and what it takes to help get the movie completed. In other words, he doesn’t just hit his mark and say his lines, He hits his mark, no doubt, but when he says his lines, it’s as if the character has come alive and Adrian is truly that person.

Adrian can be funny or serious, depending on who the character is at the time. He’s six feet tall, with an athletic build, so he can play the lead or anything in between, including a low life bad guy or a respected and much-loved father or detective. He’s enjoyed each character he’s played in the scores and scores of films he’s been in

He’s given the characters he’s portrayed a sense of reality because he has done his homework and worked out a backstory for each of them.

Most roles are fine with Adrian as long as they have the potential of being more than one-dimensional. He realizes that the actor has to give life to the written character so he is more than willing to go the distance and ‘become’ that character, even if it is only a small role. Adrian found out a long time ago that excellence takes time, thought and action to achieve. Since he used that same formula to succeed in the financial world he knew it would help him get to the top in the movie business. It just makes his job more fun and certainly more challenging when he pushes himself toward excellence. Maybe that’s why Adrian continues to get great roles and great reviews.
