Karina played a lead critical role of Nina Roden in BAFTA winning, Simon Giles debut film. She acted in world famous Anton Chekhov’s play "Chekhov Farces”. For those unfamiliar, Anton Chekhov’s classical plays demand a high level of performance versatility from its cast. Being the extremely talented actress that she is, Karina managed to play 3 different characters in "Farces", who also play a wide range of dramatic situations, but are often called to perform comedy both verbal and physical.
It was in that
area that she excelled. Her expertise in interpreting the script and finding a
comic perspective made Karina Diglyte an immediate audience favorite, which led
to sold out shows for the whole run and lead actress of the play. This
combination gained her favorable reviews and lead her to other theatre work,
and even a role in a production from award winning theatre director Jonathan
Guy Lewis.
Karina's career started
lifting off within the TV industry, where she played the lead role in a
10-episode television series with VRC Camera, Candy camera. Igniting the flame
inside her, she continued to pursue her first commercial in the same year
(2004) with Bite mobile. Karina got her
first break acting in UK in the film Zohra, which won the UK Film Council Race
in Media Award was chosen by the BBC, The Committee of Racial Equality, and
Kevin Spacey. It also received the Woman in Film, Tongues on Fire award where
Karina also received honorable mention. Taking her career to new heights required acting classes to help Karina become the best actress on the scene. After several years of developing her acting career further, she finally hit the big stage in all avenues of the acting scene. She has since appeared in theatre plays, commercials, music videos, television shows, featured films and short films since 2009, when she officially came back to the scene with her honed talent to back her up. Recently she acted in
feature film “Fourever”, premiered in Raindance film festival and Cannes, which
got rave reviews : “Remarkable achievement…” by Robert Elms, BBC. It's no surprise that this beautiful starlet has continued to strive for even more, as she continues to break open new doors for women in the acting industry. We look forward to seeing more from the beautiful actress, including her upcoming role in the film "Being There", produced by Barry Navidi (“Merchant of Venice”, “Wild Salome”), which is set for recording on August 2015 and expected to be released in 2017. We expect the actress’s role to be phenomenal, as she has been in all her previous well-known performances.
