Speaking
Bulgarian, English, Italian, and German, all with a passion to develop
relationships with aspiring filmmakers, Assya Dimova is a creative producer
with worldwide experience. She is a
tough critic, and an insanely hard worker on a mission to produce smart and
original content. Her creative credits
include short films like Upper Fields,
The Three Year Waltz, Chronospunk II, Stygian, Raghad,
The Voice, Just One Date, and Excess
Baggage (which she co-wrote). She
has worked on the set of Home Invasion
and is currently executive producer on the feature length scripts Coffee Talk and The Enemy Way Trilogy. Not
content to just executive produce and finance features, Assya is pitching
television to production companies and has already begun pre-production of the
web series Un-Supers and Bernard and The Scarf.
Since coming to Los Angeles in 2014, Assya
has worked with Voltage Pictures and Quadrant Pictures doing development,
sales, and distribution, where past experience as a market and research
strategist for the mobile entertainment industry in Berlin came in handy. As has her MFA from Columbia College in
Chicago, her MSc in Economics and Management of Innovation and Technology, and
her BSc in Business Administration, both from Bocconi University in Milan. Currently, she is working with Sky
Broadcasting as an executive assistant, in Los Angeles, where she lives and
continues to make connections with the industry’s top names and most talented
individuals. Inspired by film since she
was a child watching her first VHS, Assya is a life-long devotee of the
art. With her passion and versatility,
she is sure to make an extraordinary impact on audiences and the industry.
