Jack-of-All Filmmaking Trades Valerie Ratner Is Brewing Up Some New Things

Originally, from Bogota, Colombia, Valerie Ratner transformed her entire life and is now a well-known filmmaker.

Directing eerie moves like 'Sylvie' and short documentaries like "The Yellow Card", Valerie Ratner has triumphed through the filmmaking scene and has been given many opportunities that others her age could only dream of landing.

'Sylvie', Valerie's first film, was invited to many festivals  and won  an award for the first-time filmmaker including the Merit Award at LA Cinema Festival and it was invited to participate in Scotland's International Horror Film Festival. Valerie was the youngest contestant, leaving a favorable impression amongst her peers.

Since then, Valerie has produced and written several screenplays and commercials, which many of them have won noteworthy awards.

Finally sitting down with Valerie it was time to learn about the current projects she has in the works.

With a subtle smile, Valerie says she did not want to divulge too much into detail, but she didn't leave me without anything. Valerie says she is currently working on an environmental commercial that she is really excited about because it will contain some of the best graphic visuals in a commercial. She wants to gain awareness, so she will be introducing a marketing strategy to get the most viewing audience.

In addition to her commercial, Valerie is also wo rking on two screenplays that are in the beginning stages of being developed.Valerie shows that with determination and creativity, any person can do what they want.
