British born actor Anwar Lynch

Currently living in London, British born actor Anwar Lynch is one to watch. Ever since the age of seven Anwar has wanted to be in front of the camera, attending drama workshops, clubs, and watching every performance he could feast his eyes on.

 

Anwar’s biggest inspiration is the versatility shown by the actor Eddie Murphy, and as a child would recite lines from the movie ‘Coming to America’ as mini impromptu performances for his family and friends.

 

It wasn’t until Anwar saw certain movies that he could see himself starring in, that he formally decided to embark on his acting career, training at the London Academy of Radio, Film and Television as well as the UK Actors Studio leading to his first role in stage adaption of Othello.

 

Anwar has appeared on numerous popular television shows including hit ITV1 drama series “Collision” and “The Bill” as well as a feature role in BBC mini series “The Sarah Jane Adventures”.

 

Not limiting himself to the serialized screen, Anwar has also performed on stage in the award nominated “House of Agnes” as Caleb at the Oval House Theatre, and in “Safe” as Jermaine at the West Yorkshire Playhouse. His skills include improvisation, narration, and impersonation; fluency in both English and Patois, and the ability to perform in various accents, including: RP, American, Caribbean and African.
