Audiences will appreciate the short fantasy thriller “Martha’s Key” featuring  a hospital cleaning lady with an unbelievable power: the ability to enter the minds of coma patients and create fantasies for them and ephemeral dreamscapes which help them escape the jail that is a comatose state.

Directed by Adrian Morales Ramos and produced by Yasmine Gazelle, the film was the official selection of the Salt Lake Comic Con Film Festival and was screened at 2014’s Festival de Cannes and has been hailed across the internet as a provocative, engaging film.

However, none of this would have happened or have been possible if it wasn’t for the unerring work of the project’s cinematographer Don Gerardo Frasco, production designer Ayaka Kuramoto, incredible actress Jillana Laufer, and not to mention brilliant writer /director Adrian Morales Ramos.

This incredible team of creators consisted of some of the most skilled filmmakers including Don Gerardo Frasco " a very experienced cinematographer known to create a creepy and thrilling atmosphere with his style of shots and lighting. Actress Jilliana Laufer " gives a breathtaking and raw performance in her role and prepared by training hard to be physically ready for the fight sequence.  Adrian Ramos " who edited the film himself, has a deep knowledge in the thriller genre and knows how to make the audience feel uncomfortable. Thanks to Adrian’s incredible skills, the pace of the editing enhanced the thrill and suspense in the movie.

With her hands, mind, and creative intuition, Ayaka Kuramoto, the film’s production designer,  built  the stage props by hand at the studio: including the living room, the janitor’s closet, the hallway, and the hospital room. She is also responsible for the sizing, coloring, and construction scheduling for the scenes, which all turned out beautifully.  Ayaka’s magic touch helped the set to look realistic and amazing.

Part love story, part psychological thriller, the film “Martha’s Key” is a riveting story and a set-design masterpiece. Audiences will appreciate witnessing all this hard work in action when they get to watch this clever production.
