Lauren White- A Multi-Talented Performer

When it comes to Ireland, there are many amazing artists and entertainers and one such talent includes the vibrant Lauren White. It may seem as a surprise that this performer who is presently rocking the world of entertainment as a singer/songwriter and actress was a shy child. So how did she land in this field? Well, it was her mother who in order to break her shyness sent her to stage school. It was a well known school in Dublin where she danced, sang and also did drama. During her teens, she started learning musical instruments and was very much involved with performing in her school years. This helped her to step out of her shyness and she realized she wanted to continue performing.

 

Growing up, Lauren was highly inspired by Whoopi Goldberg in Sister Act and Meryl Streep whom she feels has inspired her with her niche for method acting and would be her ideal co-star.

 

She attended The Gaiety School of Acting and although she focused on theatre, here she also studied television and film acting and was trained by Christian Marken. She also attended Betty Ann Norton and Bull Alley Theatre Company where she was trained in Greek and Roman tragedies and comedies alongside musical theatre.

 

Lauren enjoys taking on deep roles and counts one of her personal favorite roles as playing Leonard Di Caprio in a production where she received a lot of praise and accolades. At Dublin Liberties Theatre, Ireland she recently completed a line of shows where she played the role of a sexual nun in The Woman. Unlike a lot of other Actresses, Lauren prefers the roles which leave her panicked after listening to the script which challenges her to work hard on really getting into each and every character.

 

Lauren is always writing music and writing ideas for screenplays as this is another passion of hers. In the future she would love to be part of the cast of Saturday Night Live (SNL), which would be a dream come true for her.
