Born on the beautiful Gold Coast of Australia, this pretty diva has worked hard to reach this level of notoriety. It is her belief in herself and the perseverance of becoming an actress that has led her here. She wanted to perform from the tender age of five. When she turned sixteen, she landed herself in a role in the famous series “Mortified.” Although the role was a small one, she was in the news for her charming looks and amazing acting. As she turned eighteen, she got into the most celebrated acting school of the Queensland University of Technology. There she pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting. After learning the Eric Morris technique at the University, she went to Lyn Pierse in Sydney. Then she took classes at Second City and iOwest in the bright lights of Los Angeles. It was there that she realized the importance of spontaneity and improvisation. She feels that her favorite genre Comedy cannot be performed without knowing the art of spontaneous improvisation. Marissa has consistently featured in many advertisements and webisodes. She feels that it is paramount for an actor never to give up. She collaborated with the famous comedian Matt Okine on several sketches, and wasfeatured on his live DVD.
