"

Director Alan Brown is back with the smash hit drama ‘Freedom Dance’, which started filming in 2012, wrapping up this year. The writer/director has come up with this powerful drama and the story surely catches the attention of one and all. As far as the story goes, this one has it all. From the quiet life between a father and his daughter to kidnapping, to the extreme emotions like voracity, envy and of course disloyalty the drama is sure to keep the audience glued throughout its ninety minute run.

The plot of this drama revolves around the protagonist Jane who lives a life unaware of the bad world out there and her life is completely focused on her father. Jane’s father by profession is an accountant and the suspense starts with his kidnap. This kidnap takes Jane into an entirely different world of the con men and she finds herself out there in the midst of these people. But does she have a choice? Wondering who has kidnapped Jane’s father? Well, it’s none other than his boss, who incidentally is a local gangster. The gangster has lost a sum of money and with Jane’s father suspected to have stolen the money, Jane finds herself dragged into the world of crime to get the lost sum. This Alan Brown drama is filmed in London and explores the various human emotions.

As far as the characters goes, Freedom Dance has an amazing cast including Lucinda Jubb, Sally Davis, Frank Scantori, Tom O’ Shay and James Harrison. Lucinda Jubb plays the lead role of Susan while Sally Davis plays the lead role of Jane. The character, Susan, befriends Jane taking on a parallel of her character. The film has a twist in it leaving audiences never finding out who really is to blame but it is actually the character of Susan that manipulates the situation. The director considers this drama as a sequel to Diamond Ice’d.  Freedom Dance will make you think how the innocent people in this world are taken for a ride by the not innocent ones. As for the director he considers this drama as a tale of greed and disloyalty but the real hero here is the vengeance. Produced on a small budget and written in David Mamet style, the dialogues and the settings are expected to be the real winners for this drama.

As far as Alan Brown goes, he is an award winning director and writer. His work ‘The Minnitts of Anabeg’  has won Best Screenplay Award at the Ireland International Film Festival  in 2010.His short film ’36 Hours’ was selected for the Cannes film festival in the category of short films while Diamon Ice’d written by him is picked by York Entertainment of  Los Angeles.  ‘Illusion’ his second work on feature has been finished and he has also done a sixty minute documentary for Sugarplum for the television.

Freedom Dance will make the audience wonder who has been used by whom? The film is set for a release sometime this year.
