Dori, Iceland's hottest young actor.

Humble actor- Halldor kristjansson

In the last 5 years, no young actor has been talked about in Iceland more than Halldor Kristjansson. For those who are still in the dark about this Icelandic hunk, allow me to shed some light on the man his fans call Dori. Dori was born in Iceland, but traveled throughout Europe with his mother and younger brothers and sisters after her divorce. At the tender age of four, when most kids wish to become cowboys, superheroes, or space rangers, Dori already knew he wanted to be an entertainer. As part of the choir led by his aunt, Dori was always singled out as a future star. Forced to be a man long before any child should have to be, Dori placed his family ahead of his acting dream. Working odd jobs to make ends meet, Dori often practiced his craft on breaks. Though at the time he didn’t realize it, these odd jobs were to become instrumental in the success of his acting career. Through working these jobs Dori was able to pick up on the subtle ways of an array of different kinds of professionals, allowing him to slip easily into their skins to play them on stage and screen.

After being allowed to attend acting school in Iceland, Dori was able to pursue his dream. In 2008 he landed a part in the play 6 Einthattungar, for which he received much praise. From there he went on to write and direct the acclaimed film Einangrun (Isolation) and appear on the Icelandic TV show Vogaverk (Basket Work). Since then, he has appeared in over 30 films. On top of those roles, Dori has also landed parts in several impressive stage productions. He credits the extensive training he received in Iceland and at the Stella Adler Academy in Los Angeles for his ability to participate in so many roles in such a short time. Dori has two films, Spit and Lost Angels, now in post production, and he is currently in production of his film The Dragon’s Lair, and in development on its sequel The Dragon's Lair: Surfaced, Among others. The future is just getting brighter for this amazing humble young actor.
