Biology Major Turns TV Producer: Courtney Dickson

Australian Producer- Courtney Dickson!

Courtney Dickson would not have imagined in her wildest dreams that she would one day become an internationally recognized field and segment television producer. Courtney Dickson hails from the cool region of Main Ridge located on the Mornington Peninsula in Victoria, Australia. She is the holder of a Bachelors Degree in Biological Science. Her first love was science but by her peak university years, she realized her hidden love for media production.

Courtney was an active volunteer at the Australian Film Institute. She worked with two of Australia’s biggest media entities, Channel Seven and WTFN Entertainment. Her greatest memories were made during the production of the observational documentary series Bondi Vet” while at WTFN Entertainment. The program is centered on the daily happenings at Vet Dr. Chris Brown’s Bondi Beach Practice and the Small Animal Specialist Hospital (SASH). Courtney covered the interesting animal rescue and treatment stories. She explained that one of the most interesting stories she did was of a Fijian dog named Poppy that was airlifted to Australia for a lifesaving surgery. Courtney covered all the events surrounding Poppy’s remarkable story including a fund raising initiative spearheaded by Dr. Chris Brown.

Courtney’s experience in travel journalism and production might be a far stretch from her earlier dreams of becoming a biology expert ,however she has not regretted the changes in her career goals. As a freelance field and segment producer, she completed several film projects in Bali, Indonesia including a cover story for the 10 year anniversary of the Bali bombing. Courtney Dickson is a well-traveled and multi-talented media extraordinaire.

She has recently settled in Los Angeles as she exposes her American counterparts to her talents and to symbiotically benefit from exposure in American media. Courtney has the most valuable asset in the production business and that is experience! She is already joining forces with the biggest names in the American Television and Film Industry.
