Jasmin Radibratovic’s Shares her Memorable “Simple Being” MomentsA Story by starpowerJasmin Radibratovic plays "Xecile" in the new film "Simple Being".Jasmin Radibratovic plays “Xecile,” in the intense and inspiring film, “Simple Being.” As Xecile, she is the love interest of the lead character, Clive (played by Sol Mason). The film is written and directed by Italian film genius, Marco Ferrari. We will get the inside scoop into Jasmin’s experience as Xecile in this upcoming film. Here Jasmin talks to Writers Cafe about her role in he show. How would you describe behind the scenes of “Simple Being”? Intensely fun. Everyone was on board from day one with the same vision for the film. Marco (Ferrari) made the experience a personal one for each of us. What was it like working with Sol Mason? From the very first audition with him he made it so easy. He is open to any ideas you offer and he also has a lovely presence that is very calming and reassuring. Tell us about your character, Xecile? Is she type of girl that other women can relate to? I think so, she has her facade of toughness and even dissatisfaction that hides her true heart-on-her-sleeve wearing adventurous self. How do you think your training at Stella Adler Studio of Acting and the Art of Acting School prepared you for this major role? The training helped me exercise and sharpen my imagination which was so important for this type of creative film. Also, my improv training with Noel Wilson helped me dive in to the many improvised scenes for this film. Beyond the movie summary and the trailer, why do you think everyone should watch Simple Being? Because it makes you question your own journey, to remind ourselves what is important in our lives. We can get so distracted from the simple things and the sooner we realize how great those simple things are the happier we will be. How have you grown from your experience in this production? This was my first experience of filming improvised scenes, just having a scene story line and then being given the freedom and trust to tell a story. It helped me to loosen my grip on traditional story telling and just be open to what comes next. What is your most memorable moment shooting Simple Being? Really any scene involving both Sol (Mason) and Jeff (Adler), we all played off one another and had a lot of fun in the process. Also shooting all over California and getting to some beautiful scenery. The film is booked for several film festivals, are you excited about that? Will this effect the work you are doing on other upcoming feature films? I am extremely excited! The film tells such an interesting and unique story that is told in a very understated and relatable way. The other projects I have in development are set for production for various times next year, I like to have projects running simultaneously. I feel like it helps to keep me on my toes. I love to keep myself as busy as possible! Check out more about Simple Being at:
