Istanbul's Finest- Actress Tiedora DeGrigo

Tiedora DeGrigo is an international actress who was born on October 15, in Istanbul, Turkey.

Given a European upbringing, Tiedora DeGrigo was educated in Sweden, where she gained citizenship after having moved there with her family at the age of two. From childhood, Tiedora’s immense aptitude for theatre, acting and everything creative was evident. Developing a capacity for creating elaborate stories and amusing characters at a young age, Tiedora’s talent in the art of story telling is what sparked her dream of becoming an actress.

She recalls her earliest memory of performing as a little mischievous clown from when she was five years old. As her talent grew, Tiedora began acting in front of local audiences through the Aramean Association in Sweden.

On a mission to further her dreams in the land of the silver screen, Tiedora moved to Los Angeles, California several years ago in order to continue refining her craft at the renowned Stella Adler Academy of Acting. She credits her experiences at Stella Adler with helping her come into her own as an actress. Stella Adler has trained other well-known film stars such as Salma Hayek, Robert De Niro, Marlon Brando and Benicio Del.

Well versed in a variety of skills that range from competitive sports to dance, Tiedora is also fluent in several languages and accents including Turkish, Spanish, Swedish, English, French and Italian �" making her an asset to productions around the world.

Tiedora has performed leading roles in numerous plays including “J.B” directed by Academy Award winner Milton Justice in which Tiedora touched audiences with her performance as Sara, J.B.’s wife. Some of Tiedora’s other notable stage performances include Christopher Thornton’s “The Diviners”, where she played Bible-thumper Norma Henshaw, and Timothy McNeil’s “Margaret,” where she played Millie, the best friend of Margaret’s mother who holds the family and community together after teen Margaret’s suicide.

On screen, Tiedora plays the title role of Leila in Alain Villeneuve’s soon-to-be-released film of the same name about an innocent foreign exchange student who falls in love with a twisted American boy. Tiedora is currently working on several upcoming projects including Morayo Orija’s feature film “Gettin’ Off”, where she plays the starring role of Summer, a drug-addicted hooker, as well as a major role in Heather McMullen’s ‘Coast Mafia’. With her beauty and talent, Tiedora will definitely be one to watch out for!
