along the foreign path

along the foreign path

A Poem by Theresa

one minute

you're riding the waves
in a torrid series of affairs

followed by a moment of
calm, complacent, complexities

muddled as the fog making love to the highway.

interconnections and the woven web
are but a piece of the jigsaw puzzle.
you've got the assistance-

like knights addressing the round table
strategic and analytical;
shiny silver armor
keeping the kingdom safe.

linear is outdated,
tangents are the fashionable solution
to all of your quirks and ticks

you can shake your fist all you wish
and demand all of the answers
to the questions eating away at your conscious being

but the whispers become lost
swallowed whole by the sweet spring breeze outside

don't forget to check the locks on the house,
the keys are simply recycled.

they say it's all been done before
you're never safe from the biting jaws of cliches
but has it all been done before?

is this the beginning, the middle, or the end?
everything inbetween?

grab hold of your saving grace,
and ride it out in style.

H.
Goodness, you are quite the mystic. Should have known.

The imagery of the fog and the highway, that was superb. Every other line you were painting a picture that was just magnificent. Best one yet.
