HappinessA Poem by Ivy BryantHow do you define happiness? The amount of times you smile? Whether or not you have a boyfriend? The fairness of your skin or the color of your eyes? But what if your smiles are fake, and you long for someone you can never have, and your skin is cut and bleeding from your own hand? What if your eyes lose their sparkle because there’s nothing left to light them up? I’ll tell you what. As long as you show them that smile, cover up those cuts, and keep holding his hand, you are everyone’s definition of happiness. © 2011 Ivy BryantAuthor's Note
