Armour

Armour

A Poem by daphne
"

melancholic longing

"

I built an armour,

Around bones covered skin.

Reversed pattern,

Its blades are sinking in,

Till my organs surrender.

Would you return,

Merely to tear it away?

I’m sorry I’m so stubborn.

Would you guard me,

With your chest bare?

No,

You left.

I bleed,

To death.

this poem has a sense of depth to it that goes beyond the words put on page. although I'm not sure if the second line should read Around bone covered skin or if it was intentionally done this way.
