Sunset to Nightfall, Nightfall to DaylightA Poem by Savannah B.Maybe one day I will find a way to sing this in a lullaby to my future child :)
Sunset, sunset.
All of my troubles I will soon forget. Sunset, sunset. And in the past, I will leave my regrets. There are colors clashing beautifully in the sky. See them melting into each other up there so high. Nightfall, nightfall. Someday somebody will break down these tough walls. Nightfall, nightfall. We're all part of one another after all. The waves begin to grow louder in a whimsical tune. They leap into a glittering sky to reach for the moon. Daylight, daylight. I'll do my best to live this life right. Daylight, daylight. Even with damaged wings, I'll take flight. There is dew on the roses and the air smells like spring. I put on my smile and run out to hear the birds sing. © 2017 Savannah B.Author's Note
