autopilotA Poem by Starbound25everyday crapEach morning finds me waking Rubbing sleep from my eyes I see your side of the bed is still Empty I shower and get ready for work All is normal Sipping my morning coffee on my commute I realize I made you an extra cup Though you'll never be there to drink it Taxed by customers and co workers and frivolous gossip I go about the normal work routine I eat my lunch, I chit chat, I even may laugh now and then On my drive home a love song comes on the radio Oh no they'll be none of that I quickly change the station At home I check my emails, I eat my dinner and by 8:30 I am in bed I grab one of your shirts from the closet There is barely any of your scent left on it But enough to get me through the night Till tomorrow when i go back on autopilot © 2010 Starbound25Author's Note
