about my husband who passed away

I sit so surreal
the fact that you’re not here
your smile
your eyes
your kisses
your constant laughter
I can not totally grasp the concept
how are you gone?
so strong
taken down in one fail swoop
an angel that walked among us
now taken back to heaven
far too soon
I need you babe
I need everything about you
you wanted me to fall for you
you knew we should be together
so now what?
I fell and I fell hard
now I’m left with little girls
that look to ME for support
look to ME to be strong
where can I get strength from
when you, my rock, is gone
I want it all back
I want you back
I dont know what to do
I dont know how to “live”
I merely exist
walking empty
waiting to be taken with you
I need to be
with you

First of all, I am so sorry for your loss. The poem though, is so raw and thus beautiful. I really enjoyed the way you could portray the depth of emotion. I felt like a few lines were a little repetitive, but with a little looking over I am sure it can be perfected. Good work!
