kentucky wind

kentucky wind

A Poem by Star Shaped Heart

kentucky wind upon my hand blowing freely in my hair
you gave me peace you gave me light while in deep dispair
kentucky wind in you i found freedom although utterly bound.
you came blowing... timely fashion... in sorrow, you were joy
you were there right when i needed your embrace
pick me up
blow wind blow
sweep me away with you
in you i forgot
in you i could breath
at times for only a second
other times continuously
the sun burning hot on my skin
sweat pouring
and you came to rescue me
when you touched me i felt it within
Kentucky Wind i love you
im happy to say ill never feel your blow again.

Another beautiful tragedy... it was all a dream... now i know what is real...

Really like the sudden contrast in the second to last line-- and the final line wrapped it all up well. The "kentucky wind" metaphor was spot on in describing a person and a former relationship.
