I appeared on the scene, empty parking lot, spear in hand, mission given... kill the rattlesnake! I set out and there before me was a vibrantly colored red rattlesnake, coiled from the ground up about 3 feetrattle rattling, his skin was hard like the shell of a beetle and it had innocent human eyes... I looked into his eyesand I said to myself "this isn't the one" and turned to walk away. When i turned the vacant lot no longer vacant began towalk forward, i was 2 cars in as i passed his hiding place. I could feel his presence, i sensed his being there this rattlesnake was my enemy to be destroyed. As i began to pass by him and turned around bent over looked under the second car and there he was... He looked the same as the first rattlesnake only he was black. When i locked eyes with him, he knew he'd been caught. Those human eyes so full of darkness, so full of betrayal, full oflies, full of deception, so full of manipulation, so full of rage and violence, so full of destruction... I jabbed him with my spear and he was no more a threat to me or my territory. I turned and in my hands I held a rainbow.
ive discovered the meanings, parralell, abstract, underlying and the obvious literal representations layed down here. now whether i give all thats up to how curious you might be. lol!

Well... I thought of something, but it'd be wrong. It'd be so, so very wrong, so I'll tuck that thought away. Perhaps, a battle with the self, destroying what's ugly and bring what's beautiful within to the fore. Not sure if this is what it means, but that's what I get. I'm purposely not reading into any biblical context, because that would be too...normal...an explanation, I think. Well done, especially your manipulation of the font's colors.
lots of metaphors..personally I struggled with the parking lot..although I saw the snakes as the inner turmoil..the snake being the devil maybe..but human eyes giving it a more personable feeling..rainbows are a sign of peace, new beginnings, a promise of hope..so I see you overcoming the inner enemy..nice write
