How I Miss You

How I Miss You

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

This is how I miss you
Like the earth corrodes my mind into oblivion
Like an explosion sears my flesh to a crisp
Like a blade pierces my heart 'til it bleeds out
And it pours out slowly
Covering me until I'm drenched
This is how I miss you
Like a bullet punctures my brain and I fall
Like a knife slashes my wrist and I cry
Like a razor tears open a vein and I sigh
And I begin to feel dizzy
As the loss of blood drains me out
This is how I miss you
Like tears fall from my eyes and soak my shirt
Like waves crash through my soul and knock me down
Like rain pours from the sky and hides my tears
And I drown in all of it
Submerged in how painful it is
This is how I miss you
So much it hurts
