My Tangible Delusion

My Tangible Delusion

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

If love didn't exist, you'd be real
But you are just a figment of my thoughts
Vanishing from my life when the world temporarily disappears

At night you are just a memory of my imagination
While I am the only one who still lives on
Waiting for the day to come so I could pretend you're real again

Love could not be found where it doesn't exist
I love you, so you can't be real
Because when you're real, there is no such thing as love

The only way for me to love you is for you to not exist
Because you don't believe in love
So I'll just go on pretending you're a product of my mind
