It’s strange

When everything seems fine

And then the world comes crashing down on you

The weight of everything is so much that it feels like you can never stand up again

All those things that didn’t matter

Suddenly mean everything to you

And it breaks your heart to know that you can’t do anything about it

But you hate just waiting for that inevitable outcome

And you don’t want to sit around bashing your head against the wall

So you pass the time with meaningless tasks

Doing meaningless things

Talking to meaningless people

For meaningless conversation

Until your whole life becomes a meaningless struggle

Just waiting for something significant to happen

But you know it never will

Not unless you make it happen

Even though everything is out of your control

So all you can do

Is sit around bashing your head against the wall
