I Want To Remember

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

lyrics

"
I'll ask you one more time
Will this ever work out?
I'm sick of all these things
I go through without you
It's been so long
I'm starting to doubt
If you even know me anymore
If you even remember my face
We met so long ago
It seems like hundreds of years
And I'm looking back
Past days covered in red tears

And I miss you
I miss you more everyday
But memories of you
Are starting to slip asway
And I'm
Holding on
But I can't hold on much longer
I need a
Glimpse of you
To make my memories stronger

Do I exist to you?
Do you ever think about me?
I guess I can't get mad at you
If you forgot about me
Because I'm starting to forget some things
Memories don't last forever
I need to see you
To refresh my memory of you
What colour are your eyes?
Was that you with blonde hair?
Or was it a disguise?
I don't remember, it's not fair

And I miss you
I miss you more everyday
But memories of you
Are starting to slip asway
And I'm
Holding on
But I can't hold on much longer
I need a
Glimpse of you
To make my memories stronger

I don't remember your face
I just remember your
Name
Your hug
Your voice
The warmth I felt when I was near you
But you
Always
Have
A choice
To let me see you again
Because I still miss you
And I still remember you

aawww... i know the feeling.
hold on. you'll be ok.

"your words remain embedded deep within my soul,
your smile, your eyes still shine upon my heart,
but it's those tiniest quirks I have begun to forget,
and that is where I am at a loss and miss you so."
