Bring Back The Rain

Bring Back The Rain

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

Raindrops are falling no more
Summer heat has taken over
The scorching sun frying our brains
Bring back the rain
Please let the next ten months fly by
I want spring back yesterday
I don't want to go insane
Bring back the rain
After my life that has been so long
I can't stand the heat anymore
I miss the rainy days
'Cause they're all gone
Bring back the rain
Make all the pain go away
I miss the good old thunderstorms
When lightning streaked the sky
But the cloudy days are over
And the blazing heat is here
I do not know how long
Until the rain will reappear
Bring back the rain
Lack of puddles
Lack of clouds
I'm trying to hold on to sanity
Bring back the rain
Summer agony has dominated me
For now...

I love how rain just washes everything away. This poem is really good.
