Wasting Seconds

Wasting Seconds

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

Sitting here
Staring at the clock
Each second feels like an hour
Each second is a blow to me
Makes me want to pass out
Every second I waste
I could be doing something constructive
But as I stare at the clock
I'm wasting time
Precious time
Each second that passes by
Will never come again
And life is limited
It's not like it lasts forever
I'm wasting time
When I could be searching
Searching for my purpose in life
So that I could complete it
But every second that goes by
Is a second wasted
And even though it feels like it
Every second doesn't last forever
I'm wasting seconds
The end is closer than it seems
It kills me
To know that there is no way to make up
For the seconds I've wasted

Clock watcher. there is always a time to be conscious of time, but not consciously.

Ironically humorous. However, I never call writing a waste of time. Very, very nice. You have quite a talent. :)
