Ungrateful

Ungrateful

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

And they sit
Scattered
Until someone calls
And they all crowd together
Except for one
Seperate
From the rest
By more than age
So there it sits
Alone
With its thoughts
Watching
The crowd
And the rest
Enjoy themselves
Until somebody becomes ungrateful
And then another
And it spreads
Through the crowd
And the lone one is lucky
It does not reach it
It never realizes
Until later
That it is grateful
Then the ungrateful people
The crowd
Scatters again
But the ungratefullness never reaches it
And they leave
