Cold Pride

Cold Pride

A Poem by AMetaphoricalSoul

Everyday is so cold

Frostbites kill the numbness

Spring just isn’t how it used to be

But my pride is telling me to fight the cold

Or just don’t give in to it

My pride is telling me to be able to stand naked in the cold

Even if it kills me

That is exactly what I am doing

My pride is a fool’s pride

Having pride of my strength is like having a split personality

You can’t control it

My whole body is stinging with sharp pain

I don’t blame the cold

I blame my pride

That's a very interesting idea that pride can be a split personality in every person. I really like that idea. In the line, "You can't control it," you might want to use "I" instead of "you," or else you're bringing the reader into the poem. Other than that, you might want to use puncuation, but that's a personal choice. I really liked this!
