A JourneyA Poem by Stacy Hessler
Another day searching,
Looking for the answer.
On a journey to finding happiness,
Seeking completeness.
The one that needs no introduction,
The one that looks at me with eyes of seduction.
The man I have been searching for,
Who was lost and now he is found.
Our relationship is of epic proportions,
We never gave in to other's distortions.
Or what they believe should be,
We know our relationship is right.
There is no need to fuss or fight.
At a point where we have already done that,
Now loving each other is based on pure fact.
We have known each other for years,
Already we have both cried so many tears.
The pain from the heartbreak finally subsided,
And both our hearts have already decided.
They made the decision before our minds could doubt it,
Chose before we could think about it.
Now all that is left is to focus,
On our future and where we want to be.
Now that we know the answer isn't free.
Not wanting to be without each other,
And never dreaming about another.
Finally ready to take that path,
It all adds up when you do the math.
This is where the journey has been leading.
Each other is what we have been needing.
With any other there was always something missing.
And now we have a chance,
For true love and happiness,
Being with you is something I have missed.
The warmth of your arms,
Keeping me safe and warm.
The gentleness of your kiss,
As your lips slowly reach mine.
So tender and divine.
Passionately exploring each other,
As if we have never been with another.
Laying together by the candle light,
Feeling feelings we no longer want to fight.
Making the decision to no longer be apart,
And giving each other our whole heart.
Loving one another until the end of time,
Vowing you will forever be mine.
As I am yours,
Letting life take its course.
Reliving the promises of yesterday,
Making sure they are kept today.
We never gave up on this fateful moment,
When we would be together once again.
Take me now,
As I make this vow...
I am forever yours!
