Behind the Curtains

Behind the Curtains

A Poem by Kristin
"

Old one!

"
Don't tell me I can't Act
I have sealed lips holding a contract
'Cause that broken smile you believe
Is just hiding my heart behind my sleeve

A master of disguise
Don't think of them as lies
A curtain withholding my reality
Silent cries with the power of lethality

Now that you know: don't be afraid
Just think of the beautiful things we made
So grab my hand, let us run away
Far, far away

Great poem, amazing word choices, awesome the rhyme scheme, and smoothe flow is are excellent! Enchanting writing that seems to make you want to peer behind the mysterious curtains.

Nicely thought out poem, I absolutely love this. Especially how you used the "Heart on my sleeve" reference in the first stanza. Well done, if I do say so myself. Keep it up!
