Strawberry

Strawberry

A Poem by Kristin

These strawberries taste

So much sweeter

Than the words

That you left me.

They cut the bitter dullness of my tears

That you left me;

I trust that they are not mine

But instead brought my your hand.

Left to pour from top

To bottom

And to burn my lips

Everytime they hit.

I could never care as much

As to let you bring tears to my eyes.

I question where you got these that you leave

On me every night.

Maybe you should keep some for yourself

I dont need anymore;

I have my own.

Poignant and very expressive indeed, I like the use of strawberries to tone down the mood as to not make it seem furious but rather, aggravated. Well done. I liked this.
