What is the difference between a lament and a b***h? Emotion. Different kinds of emotion. However this has both kinds as near as I can tell. One is more visceral, the other more melancholy. In my opinion you've done a fine job of stitching them both together into a jagged seam; it's gonna leave a scar. Sometimes those scars fade over time until you can hardly see them. Others, well they are kind of keloid and stand out like a brand. Some learn from their experiences and wear them as a badge of honor. Others try to cover them up and are embarrassed about them. I wonder which this will be?
Often, the constant pressures of everyday life leave psychological scars on the children, not in the traumatic way, but rather changes in behavior and personality. I've found that the education system itself has made many antagonize learning, solely because some teachers followed the three R's of teaching (Reading, wRiting, and aRithmetic). The method often makes the students just as dispassionate about learning as the teachers are about teaching, brewing an apathy towards anything extending knowledge at all. That's just one aspect taken into account, not to mention the expectations.
You've presented your frustration with society quite well; I can relate. Well done.
