Phobias

Phobias

A Poem by Kristin

I am you-phobic
All of my fears
Surround you
Less you,
More who I am around you .
Who I'll become around you.
You'll dissolve the concrete walls
I've spent so much
     time building around myself.
Each bruise another
slab,
5 feet thick     50 feet high.
All 6 feet 3 inches of yourself
Letting it fall around us with just
one
word.
I'm scared of who I'll become around you
But I'm more afraid of what I'll become without you.

I like the metaphor presented here: a phobia both of being with someone who changes us and being alone without them. A double f**k-over for the person afflicted with the phobia. I liked this.

Ohooo... like this one! Excellent metaphor and allusion for a soul that weighs the risk of love against the emptiness of its absence. A hope and hesitant piece that shines with an innate innocence so often found in the young.

100 rolls of clear blue ice-dice
