Well...S**t

Well...S**t

A Poem by Kristin

Don't Look at me
So accusingly,
Like I lied to you
I just do what I do

I've made you a promise
That we sealed with a kiss
One of the past
But it didn't last

I was once happy
,but I promise we won't get too sappy
but I was a little girl
With what seemed to be a perfect world

Now I feel old
and my soul's been sold
Or maybe the devil stole it
Just took, every. Last. Bit.

Very poignant indeed, but not in a "winey-teenager mode," but rather in an elevated manner containing a sort of unique elegance. Combining a certain persistence for one single person, and an unsaid hatred (or so I presume) towards said individual. Another worthy point to note is the reference of whomever this poem is for as a devil (how I comprehend it) that's stolen your soul.
You are one of the few teenage writers (you are a teenager, right?) I tend to almost always enjoy interacting with. Well done.
