Little Girl

Little Girl

A Poem by Kristin

You did it to yourself
Theres nothing I can do to help
Little girl you wanted to die
And you leave me asking why

Go ahead, I dont care
You've left no room for repair
Little girl, you did it this time
You've played this out like a mime

No words to say how  you feel
How about we make a deal
Little girl I'll watch you wither away
Your life is foggy but your death is clear as day

Little girl, Little girl lets play a game
Oh little girl you hold no shame
In this game theres a catch
We'll fight for life in this match

Cause this  life is addictive
You secretly know you want to live
Little girl, you did it this time
Cause now you're gone like the flip of a dime

Wow!! Very well done! I got the impression that the narrator was talking to a past version of herself as a child, very intruiging, and into my library it goes!

Great job. The last stanza intrigued me, along with various other lines. It has a sense of a parent giving discipline, or perhaps giving up on a suicidal friend. (Maybe the character herself, only you know.)
