Dance With MeA Poem by StacyPerry3-26-2011 LrhDance With Me There were so many things to say, You turned to me then walked away Our eyes had met at one point, Your forehead I touched as if to anoint I wanted to caress your face, From your chin to the neck would of been the case I might of never stopped and that you knew, As you had that look in your eye too There were so many things that could of gone wrong, We both knew that so we changed the song A glance across the crowded room, A quick look away before eyes locked in ruin It amazes me how we used to be 'attached at the hip', Now we have to pull, tear and rip Holding ourselves as friends from a distance, Keeping out the 'would of', 'could of', 'should of' and 'what if's' with our dance.
