Human Payment

Human Payment

Time has stopped,

It stands so still,

How can we think,

Pick up the quill,

Make sure you know,

Make sure you feel,

Think of the days,

Everything's so real,

Can't you see??

The blood drips slow,

I don't understand,

Everything's in a row,

Lined up so sweet,

You just can't pretend,

The dyer needs,

You're pathetic my friend,

So take your pity,

Please take your thoughts,

Make them disappear,

I can not be bought.

This has a nice rhythm, and I think this would be a lovely spoken piece! Keep writing!!

A very strong poem. I like the story in the words. A strong ending to a excellent poem. Thank you.
