Rant #2

I've watched you change,

I've seen you you turn

I've noticed the range,

I've caused the burns

You let me take control,

You let it all occur

You wanted me to let the world know,

You needed to be on your knees dear sir

So take this knife you placed in my back,

So enjoy the blood that flows

So let this be a lesson for me on the rack,

So enjoy the sadistic as well as masochistic love we share as it surely shows

Even though we love one another,

Even though that is what we have said

Even convincing each sister and brother,

Even in the end of it all the above feeling and numbness we shall end up dead

Take my life with open eyes,

Take it all and make sure your heart is coal

Take the emotional ways you've killed me as each part of me dies,

Take the last piece of my blackened soul.

It does get better once the emotions have drained from your heart. It is a painful process filled with reflection and disbelief but it all comes to an end with or without closure.

I love the repetition-really adds an 'oomph' to the emotions shown. Great write!

A very strong poem. A lot of anger and disappointment in the words. The poem got more hard with each additional line. A very good ending to a excellent poem. I like it.
